ATTN: TOFU EATERS

I need your help! I have tried several different ways to eat tofu, and I just cannot do it. I am not trying to go vegeterian or anything, but rather introduce some healthier protien into my meal. Tofu is just yuck to put it bluntly. So, I was wondering if you any of you had any recipies or ways to fix tofu in your favorite fashion so I can try it. I would appreciate any help/links/recipies etc!  Lunch post following shortly.

  1. Try Ma Po Tofu. My little godson who hates tofu ate this and decided it was not tofu it was "Chinese Sloppy Joe's".

I also cook my tofu in like a stir-fry type way, it usually ends up pretty well, we mix it with chicken when we do this though, cut the tofu into little squares and stir fry in a wok or frying pan with a little bit of the chicken seasonings from Ramen Noodles or a little chicken bullion and it is delicious for us!

  4. I've recently learned how to cook tofu properly, first make sure you squeeze the excess water out of it. You can do this by wrapping it in a paper towel, placing it on a plate and then placing another plate on top of it with a can as a weight. Leave it there for a half an hour, changing the towel as needed. I would then recommend marinating it with a soy sauce mixture or even put a spice rub on it similar to what you would put on meat (though i usually prefer asian or indian flavors) Then carefully cut it up, pan fry it with a very little amount of oil till its crispy on the outside and warmed through. Its my favorite way to eat it!
