Turkey, mayo, and cheese sandwhiches with banana chips, dried mixed berries, dried apples, and dried apricots (I love dried fruit...did ya notice?) and some carrots. I started wrapping my sandwhich halfs up because the wheat bread was getting way to dry and stale when it would sit in there. But a heads up to all you bento gals, spring time= colorful saran wrap! Yayy! I normally can't find any cute colored cling wrap any other time of year, so I will be stocking up. Hope you all are having a great Friday!
Great idea! Colorful saran wrap will look great and keep your sandwich nice. I always have a hard time with sandwich boxes but I will try this!
ReplyDeleteThat's nice! Colorful saran wrap is a good idea. I should try to making sandwiches for the kids' snack soon. Have a great weekend (^.^)
ReplyDeleteI think the ventilated sandwich boxes are designed for hot sandwiches mainly - so that the heat can excape rather than being trapped and causing moisture. I'm not sure where I heard that from, but I'm pretty sure I'm not making it up. LOL Another idea for you would be waxed paper. It would still protect your bread from drying out and be a little more enviro-friendly too. :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea(and yay for all the spring color coming our way)! Browsed around Michael's crafts shop today and they were totally in Easter mode. Since vibrant pastels are my faves, it was great color therapy ;) Wishing you a great weekend!
